Our Church Home

Charleswood United Church

The Charleswood United Church building sits at 4820 Roblin Blvd and boasts a rich history of dynamic growth, having evolved over the years to reflect our needs.

The building consists of the sanctuary, first built in 1957, a board room, a main level kitchen, and a lower level hall. It is well situated in the lovely Charleswood neighbourhood, a friendly, quiet area close to all amenities and near plenty of green space.

Stained Glass Windows

Our Stained Glass Windows have been donated to The Glory of God by Members of our Congregation.
Generous and Holy God, we thank you for creating us an expectant people and, for the light that has come into the world with the birth of Jesus Christ. We give you thanks that we have been formed as a Baptismal people and, for the life and service of our dear friends who have gone before us. We thank you for those whose will is for a vibrant Christian ministry in Charleswood now and in the future and for those who have brought us to this place, the builders and stewards of Charleswood United Church. To you we have dedicated these windows. May the light which shines through them guide us into your promised future.

Charleswood

Many of the members of the congregation of Charleswood United Church live in the beautiful community of Charleswood. The Church plays a big role in welcoming newcomers to the area. Charleswood is a drive of fifteen minutes or less from Lindenwoods, Oak Bluff, Tuxedo, Whyte Ridge, St. James, or Headingley.

Charleswood is a bustling, friendly community. We have our own library and fire hall, several banks, schools, clinics, dentists, churches, curling clubs, community centres, golf courses, banks, and easy access via the perimeter to Unicity Centre where you will find shopping of all types.

Other amenities include easy access to Assiniboine Forest a wooded area which provides a pleasant place for a walk or bike ride when you will almost certainly spot a deer or two, Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg’s most popular green spot, Fort Whyte where you can observe the coming and going of migratory birds as well as other wild life.
