Charleswood UC invited to City Hall

On Tuesday, July 12, Laurie Messer, Chair of Church Council, and Michael Wilson (along with our media expert Benjamin Wilson) were warmly welcomed into the Mayor’s Office at City Hall. After a brief tour and friendly conversation Mayor Brian Bowman presented Charleswood United Church with the City of Winnipeg Community Service Award in recognition of this church’s legacy of service as we celebrate our 100th Anniversary. We are most grateful to the mayor for this gracious acknowledgment of the church’s place in this community. In part the certificate says “I hereby recognize Charleswood United Church as an exemplary organization whose excellent leadership in the field of community service is gratefully appreciated.” We are thankful for, and humbled by, the generations who have come before us over the last 100 years, and with whom we most certainly share this award.
